PCSA has several opportunities for members to become involved and looks forward to representation from all of Caucuses.
INDUSTRY SUPPORT
Each year, PCSA needs contacts and connections with Industry to support the Annual Meeting. Administrators always welcome your assistance - please email admin@pcsaonline.org with ideas of companies you work with whom you believe would be a good fit for our Annual Meeting.
MITC
The purpose of the MITC is to encourage and support the development of high-quality, collaborative, and impactful research among members of the PCSA. We also strongly believe that one of the major goals of the MITC is to serve as an avenue for fostering research mentor-mentee relationships between more experienced and new members across caucuses.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE
The Program Committee consists of the President, Recorder and a representative from each Caucus that serves a renewable 3-year term. Upon the expiration of a Committee Member’s term, the President shall appoint the new member.
PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE
The Publications Committee is an annual volunteer opportunity with the mission to provide constructive feedback to authors with the aim of improving manuscript quality and increasing the chances of manuscript acceptance to JAMA Surgery.
SOCIAL MEDIA COMMITTEE
The Social Media Committee’s mission is to lead the knowledge dissemination of our society's contributions. Included in the responsibilities of committee members: Active engagement on Twitter, and other platforms the committee thinks would be beneficial to PCSA, Strategic inclusion of society information, publications in JAMA Surgery or other journals that PCSA members publish work in, Development and use of new social media strategies and tactics, and participation in committee meetings and activities.
